Hoewever it was shown that the current trade struc-ture shows an asymmetry, which not only effects the trade relationships but also results in tense political situations.This book studies the relationship between administrative capacity and a member state’s influence in the European Union. The overall findings suggest a good impact on the trade relati-onship as the trade volume grew.

The first time period was described based on John Wong‘s and Sarah Chan‘s (2003) paper „ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement – Shaping Future Economic Relations“ published in AsianSurvey.
